Starting with the proven platform of the ION, we looked at every part, every mechanism, and every screw to evolve the idea of a fully-featured binding at the lightest weight possible. With the ZED we set out to define the next generation of lightweight high-performance touring bindings.

As backcountry skiers, we focus on simplicity and efficiency to go further and do more in the mountains. With that same mindset we loaded the ZED with a full yet simplistic feature set that saves valuable weight and reliably has your back when you're deep in the mountains.

Anti-snowpacking features built into the toe and brake designs keep snow away and make for a confidence-inspiring step-in. Optimal toe elasticity for maximum energy absorption & minimized prerelease. Wide freeride mount transfers power to the ski & provides pull-out resistance. The wide center support of the turret and a metal wrap-around base transfer power and precision to the ski. Leashes, Brakes, and Stomp Pads are sold separately.

Surprising and confidence inspiring

I have been riding these all season. In bounds, out of bounds, soft fluffy powder, sun crust, hard pack, on 110 underfoot skis and they have not only held up marvelously, they have been a joy to use. Easy to step into, easy to lock, easy to release, relatively predictable release in falls, I do not fully understand why I would ever use any other bindings. If I was not convinced before, I am a G3 customer for life now.

Great bindings, light and powerful

These bindings have been awesome! I love the intersection of weight and performance. I feel very confident knowing I have an adjustable din and forward pressure for aggressive skiing, while still being impressively light for the uphill. The ease of swapping between brakes or no brakes is very convenient because I use quiver killers and can run a narrower light and fast ski, or throw brakes on a bigger ski and not have to worry about losing a ski, or getting tangled in a leash in a fall. Overall this binding skis much better than others I have used in the same weight category, and has all the features to be comfortable skiing aggressively.
