BUILT FOR COLD AND DRY CONDITIONS

As we build our Climbing Skins in-house we collect extra fabric and parts along the way. Rather than have them end up in a landfill, we've decided to put these A-grade materials to good use by offering a limited edition run of CRAFT Climbing Skins.

Perfect for those just getting into touring or anyone looking for a value Climbing Skin.

CRAFT Climbing Skins are made with the same high-quality plush fabric and backing material as our other climbing skins and you can expect the same level of performance. The only difference is that they are made with different colour patterns, tips, and tails, which may change between batches due to this limited production run.

The GLIDE plush is a mix of mohair for optimal glide and nylon for added durability. Making these the ideal all-purpose, go-anywhere climbing skin built for cold and dry conditions.

For the CRAFT family of gear, G3 offers a manufacturing warranty on performance but not for cosmetic appearance.

Skins worked great. I used the plastic sheet that came on the skis from the factory and cut a 1.5” strip off each and placed it down the centre of each skin as a home made rip strip. Lol. Works great. Stays on full time.

tips

I have a 12 year old alpinist skins, which i now use ocassionaly. Just because its full synthetic, and the glue is bad. But this type of tip is the best you can buy. Period. Not the ones with black "ears" not the new alpinist updated version with too much of a plastic strip. Its a pity that they dont make this, as a DIY kit to be sewn in, or bolted. I know the universal skin tip connector, but its not close. The other brands metal bars in the front are a bad joke in comparison with this marvel. No weak points, no skin flutter ... impossible to destroy on rocks, bushes etc.

They work

As another reviewer said these are bare bones in that there's no rip strip and the tip seems quite simple compared to one of the other G3 skins I had. That being said I've used them 3x at the end of this season and have been happy with their performance on full day frozen hardpack to slushy afternoon melt, multi-hour day trips. At the end of the day I'm happy with their glide and the grippiness of the glue.

Great skins

Great skins - I've had multiple pairs of G3 skins and they all have worked pretty well for me. Always liked the nearly bombproof tips and tails.

With these craft skins I was surprised to not see the removable rip strip on the center of the skin. My other pairs of Alpinist + glide have had enough glue grip for multiple transitions on long tours and I appreciated their "rip-ability" - transitioning without removing skis.
