Love the extended grip on these, the baskets, and large surface area on the top of the handle. Plus, lightweight!!

Great durable pole with optional pole straps. Can’t put a negative comment on these.

    Great all around pole

Nice grips (can use to fiddle with bindings, but not ideal for grabs in the park)… nice to hold in bare hands without freezing with the material running down the top of the pole. The poles are light and I like the straps and baskets. Replacing Line Pollard Paintbrush poles that got stolen; I prefer these with the exception of the grip. The short poles are a good length for everything for me @ 5’8” (Park, All Mtn, Steeps, Touring).

    Premium Poles

All the premium features you'd expect out of a great set of backcountry poles — lots of comfy grip, big levers for messing with bindings, quick adjustability, and big baskets that don't hang up on things. Overall a great set of sticks.

    Nice Upgrade

7 years ago I purchased the Via Carbon, never expecting them to last all this time. They did and are in great shape today. The new poles just recieved are a fine upgrade, bigger levers, nicer more sure grips. Hope these poles are as durable as the last pair that are still in use.

    Nice set of poles

The grips are nice and the adjustment / pole shaft is made better than the other adjustable poles i have.

    Fully functional and lightweight

Great poles with tons of features. The weight is very light and the foam grips extend way down the poles for great grip when skinning up or for off camber traverses. Would have been nice for them to be three sections to be able to pack them for use when hiking as well. The buttons to unclip the straps are tough to work with gloves on.

Impressive handsome looking set of poles. Kind of gangster looking. Feel solid. Haven’t used yet. Feel like a nice swing weight. Feel fairly stiff. I don’t like a flexy pole. Lots of grip down the pole.

The removable wrist straps through are very difficult to get off. I’ve got strong hands/fingers/thumbs and haven’t been able to pinch the tabs in enough yet to pull the strap out. Just can’t do it. And that’s in the warm house. Couldn’t imagine out in the cold. Not sure if there is a trick or something I’m doing wrong.
Not sure if these will “quick release” if they are on my wrist and the pole gets stuck and I keep going. Lol

I don’t really use the straps anyways.

Generally happy but could use a couple tweaks

I have always been impressed with the durability of my old Carbon Vias for whacking tree branches and beating down the snow when trail breaking. I expect the new ones will perform as well over the long term.

Love the long rubber grips on these poles with the bump that makes choking up easy on the side hills.

The long hooks on the handles make pulling my toe pieces up a breeze. They are also handy for hooking rope between branches around the back side of trees to set up the ridgeline on a kitchen tarp.

The baskets nestle well when stacking poles together but I love being able to bundle the poles and skis together by clicking the poles into left and right sides of the toe and heal pieces. Unfortunately the basket holes are too far apart so they separate when doing this. My old Carbon Vias did that better with wider spacing in the basket holes.

The Velcro spacing on the leashes doesn't allow a tight fit around the hands for poling XC style across the flats.

    Great poles!

I love that the handles have tabs to pull and engage switch bindings. Also, very handy having two alternate grip points along the pole for the uphill side of a traverse. Easily removable straps are great too, for those who prefer not to have straps. All in all a well thought out product.

    Best Touring Pole!

Great grip. Good positive hand placement at top and lots of extended grip for sidehilling up. Easily adjustable tension clip and awesome swing weight. Break-away strap.

Great poles - more fragile than expected!

Overall love the grips, weights, and construction of the poles. However, I have now (1x my own fault, 1x IMO too easy break) broken 2 lower sections of the pole. If G3 did not provide replacement piece I would take the aluminum ones by now.

    Customer "service"

One of my pole broke after onw year of very light use, I tried to have a replacement, instead, after many weeks waiting for their answers, they sent me a useless piece unusable for repair, without any instructions.

Hi Vincent. I apologize for the less than satisfactory customer service you've experienced. It appears that the follow up you sent us was accidentally closed without a reply. I've passed on your information to our Customer Experience Manager who will be in touch shortly to resolve this for you.

    Canadian Product?

This season, I’ve purchased a pair of Findr 105s with Ion 12 bindings, these poles and the Love Glove. I have been keen to support your products as I thought it was made in Canada. Disappointingly, it turns out that quite a few of your products (including Skis!?!?!) are made in China. Please reconsider this policy. Not only can I not, as a consumer, trust the build quality; but I cant support the export of production to China. I am willing to pay more for a product made here in Canada.

I absolutely love these poles! They are strong, sturdy, adjust easily & quickly and lightweight. I have the longer version and I can still shorten them even more than 115cm. I would highly recommend them!
My only negative is that the grip ices up easily they get snow on the handles, it then takes a while for them to de-ice.

    Best back country skiing poles

All the features you need! Lightweight, super durable, great design. My favorite feature is clearly the grip handle that allows you to manipulate your ski bindings/boots while staying up! Clearly would recommend +++

    Best pole on the market

I previously had BD poles but the handles of G3 is so much more comfortable.

The carbon pole are very stiff and resistant but also very light.

    Don’t hesitate you’ll love them.

    Great poles

I have only used these twice, but so far, so good. I love the extended grip. But only criticism is relatively minor: I want to remove the wrist strap but I have been unable too. Even with all my strength pressing on the releases, I have failed.

    Via Carbon 2022

Nice improvements from previous generation. Grip material is lovely with bare hands as is the coating running down the upper part of the shaft. Very pleased.

    Great, but one small issue

Love these poles, they are super light and easy to adjust height. My only complaint is with the straps. The strap is a bit thin for my liking and different to other poles I have had with a wider strap and softer fabric. The mechanism to unclip the straps from the poles is also quite fussy. Other than that, all good.

    Can’t wait to use them!

This generation of carbon poles seems to be an improvement on the ones I bought four years ago. I suspect they are a bit lighter and I really like the padding and knob on the upper section. All we need now, is snow. It’s green as could be, with a high of 13c today ☹️

    Good carbon pole

Bought these as a lightweight summer trekking pole and they haven't disappointed. Looking forwards to using them in the winter.
