BOMBER ONE-PIECE FREERIDE OR GUIDE POLE

This stout aluminum one-piece ski pole is equally at home in bounds as it is in the backcountry. Its simple build includes a feature set trimmed down to the necessities of uphill travel and downhill performance.

The rubberized, extended grip is lightweight and provides unlimited options for grip location along the top of the pole. It acts as an added layer of insulation against cold poles with your bare hands. The side hill bump increases stability for those technical sections of a traverse. The handle features G3's Quickflick Utility Tab to flick heel lifts or buckles.

Includes comfortable and lightweight wrist straps that are easily adjustable. The clip makes it super easy to remove your straps for backcountry skiing or tree skiing. The redesigned all-mountain basket is the perfect size (85mm) and shape to tackle any snow condition and is especially suited for steep and technical terrain.

This pole can be used all season round as a sturdy trekking pole in the warmer months.

Poles to last a lifetime :)

I'm hard on my gear so when it comes to poles, I need something that won't break and is thoughtfully designed. So the Fixie pole it is. Grip where you need it, solid and strong with a detachable strap. The clip in and out strap is game changing. No more trying to decide if I am going to leave them on or cut them off anymore.

No bending, or breaking and a piece of gear I can truly trust!

    Great set of poles

Great lightweight pair of poles and super durable with the aluminum construction. Swings super well and everything you need for the backcountry and side countery. Highly recommend.

These are tools, not just poles

I've previously been a bigger fan of poles that are adjustable, but decided to give these a go. For starters, the swing weight stands out - they're light and easy to pole plant. That sounds silly, but it honestly helps a TON with stability when skiing. I like how simple the pole is for sliding behind your backpack or how sleek the pole is for cutting snow test columns. The grips have been well thought out, which makes these tools not just poles. To lock your toes without having to bend over is a WIN. I also like the name, feels more core.

    All we need !

No fiddle, no bits to break, aluminum for a bit more (than carbon) robustness, sharp hook to lock my toe-binding without bending over, grippy rubber down the shaft, and that lump part-way down for sidehill-skinning …. Luv ‘em !

    Made in Taiwan

The quality seems like they will be fine but it's just disheartening to see the made in taiwan sticker on the poles and the made in china sticker on the skis. I want to support Canada but it's tough when the "canadian company" simply outsources to China. I know it's common for companies to do it but typically ski companies make their equipment in their country of origin. I did some more research and found Ferreol skis that are made in quebec that I'll likely go with in the future to truly support Canadian

Great, well thought out & sturdy poles

What more does one need in a fixed pole?! Not much. Not much at all.

    Sad reduction in quality

The straps are like shoelaces compared to the pair that these are replacing. 1/2” Velcro is going to last a season at best. Straps are very large (and I’m a 6’3” man), so much so that I’ll have to sew on more Velcro to be able tighten rhem enough. Baskets are also significantly smaller and don’t snap together.

    Absolutely great

The finishing quality is impressive. At first I could feel how much lighter these poles are compared to my colapsable cheap ones. The handle is well designed and I loved the extended rubber grip below the handles for the holding the pole lower when skinning along a slope.
I am glad to have had the opportunity to purchase a Canadian designed product that is affordable while being of top quality. Well done G3 team.

    Solid Tool

The fixed length gives confidence in situations where aggressive pool plants are required. The grip is very comfortable and multi-functional; easily opens/closes boot buckles, lifts/lowers heel risers, and aids in AT transitions from touring to downhill mode. As light as my adjustable carbon poles with a very nice swing weight. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Best one-piece poles you can get

Solid, featured, and unique for skiing inbounds and perfectly capable for an impromptu sidecountry adventure. Can’t get a better one-piece pole for your money

    Love the poles

These poles are functional! Great grip design and easy to use pole strap. I have used another company's length adjustable poles in the past and was frustrated that they would collapse (couldn't get the closure strong enough). I'm happy I switched back to the Fixie and highly recommend them.

    super ski pole

Had numerous telescopic poles over the years (Lekki, G3, Black Daimond), mainly alluminum but also carbon. ... but really love the fixie. super stiff, light, and sharp, and fantistic grip (even with mini/resort friendly self arrest hook - but not convinced long enough to do much except on really firm snow)... The length of grip down the shaft for the most part eliminates the need to every need to adjust the length, which is more efficient in use then constantly adj. pole length... (got to get my friends on them too). .. only think i don't love is the strap .. can adjust the size of loop, but there is an extension that can't be shortenned and prevents snugging the palm to the pole with the strap (rarely needed excep the long skating traverse on cat tracks and xc routes).

    Great pole

Functional and exactly the pole I wanted - I'm very happy with my purchase. These replaced an old adjustable pole from a different manufacturer that wouldn’t stay at a desired length. The extended grip on the Fixie allows the function of the extendable pole without the drawbacks of an unexpected collapse.

    Awesome Touring Poles

Good price point, non-adjustable touring pole with great length of grip, as good on the slopes than in the backcountry!!

    Fixie delivery mistake

I had left a review about the wrong size fixie pole being delivered and getting no response after a few emails . After I posted a review , g3 phoned me and took care of the problem. I am completely satisfied and am now going to be a g3 customer for life. I had ordered a few items previous and loved the gear. Thank you g3. The pole itself is something I have been looking for. It’s very well built.

So great to hear that we were able to get you fixed up! Happy touring!

    Sent wrong size

I ordered the fixie poles in a 120 size. Received them in 115. Sent two emails and to my surprise they don’t seem to want to reply. Pretty disappointed as I am leaving on a ski trip.

Hi Derrick, I'm sorry to hear you were shipped the wrong size FIXIE poles. Our team is working diligently through this busy time of year and they strive to reply to all requests within 48 hours. I have looked up your emails from earlier this week and today and have asked our Customer Experience Team if they can put your request to the top of the list so that we can hopefully get you squared away before your trip.

They might break, but you'll have to work at it

After having a collapsible pole fail in the backcountry, and recognizing that I was rarely adjusting length anyhow, I decided to move to a fixed pole.
The G3 fixie is pretty difficult to beat in terms of price to performance. There are other lighter fixed poles out there, but are they really worth 3x the price of the fixie?
I've had these out a dozen times or so now and am perfectly happy with them.

    Great sticks

This are some quality sticks. Love the hooked handle to pull on risers. Paint comes off fast when you use them. Over, great sticks.

Great Pole. Baskets Could Connect Better

I'm a big fan of the fixed length with the full range of grip features. The baskets were not as easy to install as expected and I ended up cross threading one, which chewed up the threads on the basket due to the softer plastic. Shouldn't be an issue if you're not swapping baskets frequently, but could be an area of improvement.

    Great features!

I bought these poles right before COVID shut down the resorts. I finally got these out on the snow and love them. They are simple and robust. I use them strictly as a resort pole. The straps hang open in a nice circle so it's easy to slip them on and off. The hooks built into the handle are an easy way to loosen your boot buckles of you're one to do that between runs. Bonus for me, they match my skis and bindings. Only complaint is they could have picked a more durable paint. There is already a couple chips. I would recommend to anyone that doesn't need a collapsible pole.
