At 90mm wide, Skin Savers do not need to fully cover the full width of the adhesive on your skins. The edges of your skins adhering adhesive to adhesive will help protect against excess air drying out the adhesive over time.

I’d give a zero if it were an option.
The gauge of the mesh is much thinner and lighter. The width is half of the original.
I have many G3 products and have been pleased with the performance and quality. These were a huge let down.

I haven't really gotten them out to use yet, but I'm going to be hanging up my skis in another couple of months. I'll be glad to have these guys when I store my skins for the summer.

I've only had a few tours with the new skin savers - so far, so good. I bought to replace the one's that came with the g3 skins I bought last season; which were largely a disappointment. After only 15 tours or so, the skin savers began to break apart. By the end of the season (25-30 tours), they were in four pieces.

For those not taking the time to read how wide these (like myself) will find that they are likely significantly narrower than your splitboard ski width.. meaning that if you just reglued your skins (like i did) you’ll be immediately in the situation where you glue your new glue back to itself.
Not the end of the world (apparently)… definitely unfortunate yohr first time out. But good to mention nonetheless. Im giving a rating of 4 on this product as i dont believe a wider option is available which i would have gone for. Other than that. The skin savers save skins… as anticipated

They should be made wider for splitboards, also kinda pricey for something that should come with new skins. Earlier versions were wider and packed better.
Thanks for your feedback James. We've chosen to make our Skin Savers narrower (90mm wide) to allow the edges of your skins to adhere adhesive to adhesive. This helps protect against excess air drying out the adhesive over time.

Like the ski saver but tough it was coming as in pairs but surprisingly it came one sheet per pack. But it look rugged.

I like to keep my skins in a cool environment when they are not in use. After drying them out I find the glue super tacky. The skin savers work great to keep my skins from being totally welded together during storage. When I go out for my next tour I don’t have to fight with my skins to pull them apart before putting them on my skis.

Are G3 skin savers long enough to cover full length climbing skins?
G3 Skin Savers are 60cm and cover half the length of the skin to keep the glue seperated when the skin is folded in half.

I just got a new pair of G3 skins and they didn't come with skin savers, which surprised me. I've always used skins savers, but now I'm hearing some people just store their skins glue-to-glue, even for long periods of time. Do I need skin savers?
Yes, you can store your skins glue-to-glue.???ÿ While skin savers aren't necessary some people prefer them, which is why they remain available as an accessory.
