Pretty neat

They're definitely super easy to mount on ions and zeds, and really intuitive getting them on and off the skis.

I've got a set of 115's for my big skis which work well and today I tried them on my 90 underfoot skis. Other than feeling a bit clunky they worked well, until one kept popping off. I'll give them another go on the skinny skis but I feel like when I actually need the bite of a pon, a more appropriate size would be best.

Anyone have 2 cents on ski crampons that are way too big?

Hey Dylan,
We're stoked to hear you're loving your ski crampons. As you mentioned, the correct size will always work the best. Luckily, our crampons are available in a wide range of sizes. The 95mm would fit your 90mm ski a bit more comfortably.

Ski crampons

My daughter recently skied Mt Baker and with these and the G3 touring bindings she was able to finish the mission and have fun.

A bit late shipping

I needed these for a late season trip, but they didn't ship until I got back. Looking forward to using them next season.

They work but they are heavy and bulky

They work but they are heavy and bulky. Would be great to see a redesign of these crampons and the connection with the bibding. Compared to what other manufacturers are offering these crampons are quite heavy and bulky especially when you include the weight of the adapter plate. Would be great if the crampons simply slotted into the binding like most others do and if the crampons nested togther to take up less space. They just don't make sense when paired with the ZED especially which is lightweight binding when the crampon and the adapter plate weigh more than half of what the binding does.

Did what I bought them for

These bad boys arrived 30 minutes before I had to leave for my hut trip. Carried them for 4 days, used them for a grand total of 15 minutes. Light weight, glad I had them. Easy install and quick snap tech.

Cannot make the crampons work after being told they will, no response from Customer Support

I reached out repeatedly to find out if the crampons would work with my older bindings. After several weeks I received a response that yes, they would. Now that I have them I cannot figure out how to install the plates and there is zero documentation anywhere. I reached out again to customer support and have gotten no response. I am not impressed at all. Terrible customer service.

Best Crampons Ever

I love how I don’t have to take my boot out of the biding to put these bad boys on!

F
Felix

Light weight yet sturdy! However when on my skis, my boot hits them first and can’t fully step down. With one heel riser engaged they barely hit the crampon so not a real issue, they just have to be used with a heel riser which is most likely when one would use them anyways.

Simple, rugged, lightweight

I have two sets of skis setup with these crampons and am very happy with them. They're a lot more rugged than other one's I've used and are incredibly easy and elegant to install with G3 bindings.

the perfect ski crampon.

I like everything about these crampons. The brackets are very easy to mount (one screwdriver, 4 screws, 15 minutes). Plus, the design with a slight "hump" makes them effective even while using the highest heel lift. They are easy to install and remove without having to take your skis off. Good job G3!

Excellent ski crampons

I first used your ski crampons last year and they were a huge help in slippery sections on the skin track. The design is simple and effective. I like them so much that I bought two more sets for family members who are also using G3 bindings.

These are great. They gave me the extra security I needed to reach some new peaks in my area. They did fall a couple times but that's my fault. Just make sure they're secure.

High quality product

This is a high quality product that is well machined and durable. I found the AT crampons easy to mount onto my G3 bindings, and they also can work with any tech binding with the included mounting plate. Very easy to pop on and off, even with your boots locked in walk mode. The only glitch I experienced was on a steep, icy, sidehill climb, when the inside edge of my downhill crampon hooked the cable release on my uphill crampon and popped it off mid stride. It was a rare circumstance easily avoided once I kept the cable tucked under your boot.

Just click, clack and attack.

The mounting plate is super easy to install and the crampon feels very positive in all respects.

I use the 105mm size on a 108mm ski width.

Ski Crampons that work like a charm

Used these on the Wapta traverse to ski up the side of Mout Olive before boot packing. Easy to put on and take off when on a steep side slope. Worked well!

so easy to use and install

love my ski crampons (well I'd rather not have to use them but that's another story) very easy to install both the hardware and the crampons when using them.

Great Ski Crampons

Used them for the first time on Mt Baker Easton Glacier route. Very easy installation with my G3 ion10 bindings. My other climbing partners used 2 other ski crampon brands, and my G3 crampons were significantly easier to put on and off, and made the best contact / had the best grip out of all the crampons on the trip. Very happy with the purchase and how well they performed compared to my friends' ski crampons.

Best ski crampons and attachment system

The G3 ski crampon and attachment system are a step up in performance and engineering. The competition doesn’t come close. G3s can be easily attached and removed without taking your ski off. Once on they are bomber.

Thanks for the awesome review! Happy touring!

Ski crampons

Thanks for letting me pick up ski crampons factory as sold out everywhere. 2 weeks ago mountaineering course The Rockies and had Wilson’s Lake Louise mount them. The ski crampons were great; super supportive on glaciers and steep terrain. Very easy to put on and get off when terrain changed. Pretty light too as I carried lots of climbing gear, skis, boot packing up steeper areas w ice ax. First time using ski crampons. 5/5

crampons screws need lock tite

Decent crampons, but the crampon mounting screws came loose for the past 3 sets I used. The screws come with blue locktite from the factory but this is not enough in my opinion. I fixed the problem by applying red (stronger) locktite on my sets. So maybe this issue could be easily be solved by providing mounting screws with stronger locktite? It would also be nice if G3 could add few extra screws with the crampon package.

Light and easy to install

I have not used the crampons yet. But they look really functional. They are light and the mounting plate is really easy to install.

Easy set-up.

A simple product to install. Using a Wheeler FAT wrench, I torqued, to 25 inch-pounds, the crampon mounting bracket to my ZED 12 bindings.

Very smooth action between the mounting bracket and the crampons latching mechanism. This should make for easy addition/removal of the crampon to your skis.

Great

The easiest system to set up and then use in the mountains that I've come across.

Great crampons, but a note re: compatibility

These are the best crampons available on market. Very easy to attach and remove when combined with ION binding. However, these are listed to work with new Zed offering but from my experience the compatibility is sub-optimal. While the universal mount is compatible with ZED binding itself, the toe pins of binding are lower than the crampon attachment points. This means you you need to use either low or (in my case) high riser so that your boot does not rest on the crampon attachment points. This makes the crampon near useless, as it is then difficult for the crampon to actually engage and provide sufficient bite on hard snow. Buyer beware!

Thank you for your feedback Jordan. Our Customer Service team will reach out shortly. When an unweighted boot is mounted on the crampon on the Zed it can look like the crampon is not engaging fully. However, in the field the crampon will engage.
