ION 10

I've spent a season now on the ION bindings. I put them on a set of 4FRNT Renegades as my hard-charging setup. The easy step in toe is a stand out and generally the ease of transistions. I felt solid on the bindings and I think they look great on my skis!

These bindings have been so great for all mountain missions. From skiing deep days in the backcountry to slackcountry mixed with resort, I feel confident that these bindings will hold up and be able to perform at a high level.

I have been able to ride hard without hesitation and had the bindings release when I need them to.

The ease of stepping in continues to amaze me as well as how well they travel on long days in the backcountry. Anyone looking for a great pair of do anything bindings should grab these.

I really enjoy these bindings! I have found the release to be reliable, but it doesn’t release when it shouldn’t. About to put my 9th day on them and i couldn’t be happier

These bindings are absolutely amazing. This is my first pair of touring bindings, and I couldn’t be happier with them. They feel very well made, and when I had them installed on my new skis, the technician even confirmed that they’re a great choice—well designed, from a reputable company, and truly premium bindings.

I’ve only used them a few times so far, but they’ve been excellent. They’re lightweight, thoughtfully designed, and perform really well. Considering the current price, they’re an absolute steal. I’m really enjoying them.

I’ve ridden these a couple of times in and out of bounds, on groomers and choppy snow. They perform well every time! No unexpected releases and fairly light for up hill travel. Great deal, I love them.

My G3 Ion 12 bindings (2021/22 version) had 2 fatal flaws. Most seriously, the orange tension **** vibrated almost completely out twice. If I had lost this in the backcountry - I would have been hooped!
Second flaw is that the tension adjustment stickers peeled off of both bindings within the first 15 months (about 25 days of use). G3's suggested resolution is to buy two new heel turrets at $100 each. (Admittedly, they have offered a 25% off coupon).
I won't be buying G3 bindings again.

We now own 5 pairs of ION 10 between my husband and I.

We have skied them lift service in Japan, Canada, and US. Backcountry in Canada

Very pleased with the performance. Not a single reservation about the bindings.

ION 10

I skied on the Ion bindings for an entire season. They are lightweight yet durable and trustworthy. I mounted them on 176 skis 101 underfoot. I feel confident skiing fast and hitting airs knowing my feet will stay connected to the skis and release when I truly need them to. If you're looking for a touring binding that you can ski aggressively in while also saving your energy on the skin track, this is the right choice!

I have really enjoyed my ion bindings. They are super light weight and easy to use. It is simple to change them from touring to downhill mode. I am also a fan of the two-level heel lifts, which are easy to switch between while climbing.

J’adore ces fixations qui allient bien légèreté et robustesse. Avec elles, les transitions sont plus rapides que jamais. Même si elles sont faites pour le hors-piste, elles performent bien en station aussi.

My skins were delayed and no word yet on when they will be sent.

ION 12

Great binding in the $300CAD range. Just very difficult to turn back into downhill position at the top.

Love everything except the Brake, which if treated nicely will behave. But, overall an excellent BC binding

I forget when I got my Ion 12s but its more then 8 years ago. I ski them 40+ days per year and they are still working perfectly.

The first Ion 12 version did have a flaw and a heel piece would auto rotate into ski mode occasionally . G3 recognized the problem, did a design fix and replaced the base plates a few years ago at no charge. Fantastic service.

The G3 ION 10s are flawless. The easy step-in and smooth transitions make touring a breeze, and they feel incredibly solid on the descent. 5/5 stars!

My second pair because the first ones have performed so well! Light, easy to switch modes and solid.

Just so you know, I made an error when making my order. I was in a bit of a rush and wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing, but this was compounded by the fact that there is (I think) a design flaw in your website. If I'm not mistaken, the brake size is set to 85mm by default, so unless you change it, that's what you get if you place a order. Rather than this, it would be much better if the user has to make an explicit choice of brake size. There was no possibility of returning my order, so I reverted to taking apart an old rusty pair, bending the brake rods and putting everything back together. Quite the complex mix of small parts...

Les fixations et peaux G3 sont d'excellents produits. Très satisfait.

While the binding is amazing, in ascent mode, the heel piece sometimes rotates by itself without any force being applied on it which a very frustrating problem. Almost every time this happens, it is very hard to predict, and so the heel clips in and you have to stop, remove the binding et the ski, push the break back in locked position... a long process that happens maybe 2 or 3 times every ascent. I don't know if the heel piece has too much grease with makes it rotate easily by itself or if the spring isn't strong enough. Nevertheless, it's a very annoying problem that needs fixing pronto! I still enjoy all of G3's gear and my planks are fabulous to ski. Thanks in advance for working on a fix for the future generations avec the ION.

Just tried both Ion and Zed Bindings on uneven terrain going up and down and they perform more than what I expected! So light they stayed "on track"

Juste parfait

Great product, I mounted them myself but would not recommend unless you are very confident in your skills as the alignment of tow to heal is not forgiving, the exact placement of the holes pretty much determines the alignment.

I'm nearly at 10 years with the same pair and tour a significant amount every winter. I'm continually blown away at how bomb-proof these things are. 10/10 on every aspect of these bindings!
